Groundworks for Self Build Home

Our project brief:

A Staddon Groundworks completed groundworks for a self-build home on behalf of a private client, within tricky and narrow confines.
The client approached us with plans for a new build residential house inside a walled parcel of land in beautiful, but small, Modbury.

We completed the works as follows:

The ground was only accessible via a particularly narrow access road, making spaces a premium and the movement of vehicles and materials very carefully executed.

Foundations were dug out and concreted using boom pump and by organising concrete deliveries small enough to access the site.

Retaining walls were created  to the boundary of the land.

In liaison with utility companies and the local authority, we executed a road closure and diversion to allow us to carry out works to bring services onto the property.

The outcome:

We were able to successfully develop the plot foundations, utilising strategic site deliveries.
